Reviewing the Apple Watch SE 2: Budget Luxury?

I just got a new apple watch, and today, I’m going to review it. We’re going to look at battery life, health features, smoothness, and more! As this is my first tech review, the format will be to score each category and give a table of scores at the end. Now, let’s get started!

Battery Life and Charging

When I wake up at around 8:00AM, I always put on my watch. Daily use is calling with the cellular plan on it, texting, and school mode as well. When the day is over at 9:00AM, I usually have around 30-40% left. Even when the battery gets low from calling all the time, the charging is unrealistically fast, and it can go from around 10% to 70-80% in 30 minutes. I do notice that oftentimes using things like the weather app on cellular data can drain battery too, but not that much (like 1% every 2 minutes).

Features and Apps

Right out of the box, the apple watch is outfitted with everything you need. Weather, activity tracking, and more. While that’s expected, all the apps work surprisingly well and without a hitch. Although this is with every apple watch. Let’s get into the performance of these apps! First, I really don’t know why “Find My” is split into 3 separate apps (people, devices, and items) and it makes it really annoying to ring a phone and such. All other apps work well and look nice, and the app store really opens up lots of possibilities for cool things like a fact of the day.

Value and Price Point

The base price of this watch is around 200$, while the cellular one is 250$. Compared to other apple watches (300-400$) it’s a really good deal, but it is missing a couple of features that the new ones have. The apple watch 10 has a blood oxygen monitor, and as usual a better screen, processor, etc. If you REALLY need the blood oxygen help, you could just buy the apple watch 10 or get a standalone monitor at your local Walmart. All in all, the apple watch SE 2 has an amazing value and price point, and I’d say if you need to upgrade or start out with apple watches it’s a great choice.

Conclusion – is it really Budget Luxury?

After wearing and reviewing my new apple watch, I would definitely say it’s an awesome device. It has a great processor, price point, and is overall a great watch. This is the first of my reviews on technology, and if you have any feedback, please email me at blueblog@icloud.com. If you’re looking to get into smart watches, this device is a great choice, and is definitely budget luxury. 😀
